Ohan Cardiovascular Innovations can provide a variety of standard histology services through our strategic partnership with BioMendics, LLC.
BioMendics Histology Core (BHC), located on the Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) campus in Rootstown, OH. We have been a part of the REDIzone business incubator since 2015. Our team has been conducting research in Northeast Ohio contributing to local universities and hospitals since 2006.
BioMendics, LLC is a pharmaceutical company focused on wound healing formulations and is run by Dr. Karen McGuire, CEO. The company has over 1,000 sq. ft. of wet laboratory research space. BHC opened as a reference histology laboratory with an additional 100 sq. ft. of space containing an automated processor, Tanner embedding system, automated stainer, and Leica microtome.

BioMendics Promise
We focus on attention to detail and work with our clients to create a histology package that complements their research. We do various special stains such as trichrome, sirius red-fast green, collodial iron, and mast cells. IHC detection is available upon request. We have experience with various antibodies using HRP/DAB detection.
